We are looking for a Regional Marketing Manager to be responsible for the Quebec and Atlantic Canada regions for a 6 month contract. The Regional Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of Xplornet’s consumer marketing plan. The key focus is reaching our prospective customers in rural communities out of the national marketing reach. The Regional Marketing Manager is accountable to ensuring we increase leads generated in all sales channels (direct and indirect). Finally, the RMM must use a creative, innovative approach to come up with new strategies to increase sales channel and consumer engagement with Xplornet. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, a strong understanding of the rural marketplace and consumer and have a proven ability to grow market share.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning, creating and executing the marketing strategy in every rural and remote community in Quebec and Atlantic Canada
o Generating brand and product awareness for Xplornet in all rural markets and communities. Meeting demand for all channels in remote markets where we sell high speed Satellite
o Creating demand on all channels in rural, competitive markets
• Providing marketing planning guidance and support to District Sales Managers, Dealer Partners and third party sales channels. Specifically:
o Creating and co-creating marketing communications materials
o Working with head office to develop fully integrated digital marketing campaigns for dealers that compass all of the main functional elements including website presence, CRM, social media and SEO
o Executing the go-to-market plan by ensuring adoption by all Xplornet dealers and other third party sales channels and partnerships
o Developing an in-depth knowledge of our dealer partners, how they sell and manage their customer base, their marketing vehicles, leads and opportunities
• Being accountable to managing a marketing budget including market development funds
• Driving consideration outside of traditional marketing communications such as local events, sponsorships, tactical media, partnerships with local municipalities, organizations, etc.
• Closing monitoring results and providing weekly insights on marketplace dynamics, channel and consumer. Evaluating trending and making recommendations on how to improve our marketing acquisition
• Acting as the voice of the consumer and providing feedback to product and pricing teams

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Bilingualism is required
• 3-5 years’ experience in planning and executing mass, direct, digital (with knowledge of website analytic tools) and tactical marketing programs with proven ability to generate demand. Ability to demonstrate sales growth
• Media buying experience is required
• Expert knowledge in creative design
• Strong geographical and demographic knowledge of rural Quebec and Atlantic Canada
• Flexibility to travel throughout the regions (approximately 20% of the time)
• A high level of proficiency in all MS Office suite products and the ability to work with raw data
• Strong ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders across all levels of the organization
• Experience working in sales would be an asset
• Solid project management skills
• Preference will be given to candidates who have agency experience and experience in subscription-based products and/or telecommunications
