We are looking for a Custodial Coordinator to be located in our Cornwall, Ontario office. This position is responsible for cleaning duties in our business environment with the goal of keeping the building in a clean and orderly condition. The Custodial Coordinator will carry out janitorial duties on a daily basis, including cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, kitchen and public areas.

Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning, stocking and supplying the designated facility areas. Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restrooms, kitchen, etc.)
• Carrying out heavy cleansing tasks and special cleaning projects on quarterly and annual basis, including exterior windows, employee desks, etc.
• Cleaning external areas such as entryways, sidewalks, raking and shoveling.
• Transporting equipment, furniture and supplies manually and/or using aides such as dollies and carts. Arranging furniture for special events.
• Following all approved Health and Safety policies and procedures and reporting any non-compliance or possible safety risks.
• Notifying management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
• Stocking and maintaining supply rooms.
• Working professionally with contractors, vendors and on-site staff
• Performing other duties as required and assigned

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Completion of High School diploma
• Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience working as a cleaner in a professional setting
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• High level of professional integrity.
• Strong communication skills, and experience working with various communication styles.
• Decision making skills and effective time management. The ability to prioritize and plan time and resources.
• Must be reliable, punctual and a team player.
